A new bombshell has entered the villa and is here to save lives. On Youth Day, we dropped something fresh, and full of purpose. Say hello to Make Your Mark, our new youth campaign designed to shake things up and inspire young people to step into the spotlight as everyday heroes.

We’ve always known that young people have the power to create real, lasting change they just need the right platform to do it. That’s exactly what Make Your Mark is all about. It’s not just a campaign, it’s a movement that puts the power back into the hands of the youth and shows them that they don’t need to wait to make an impact. Through this fresh new look, we’re saying loud and clear: donating blood isn’t just something you do it’s something you own.

The campaign comes at a time when we’re seeing a concerning trend. While we’re proud of our 68,500 strong active donors, only about 14,850 are between the ages of 16 and 25. That’s a gap we can’t ignore. To ensure a safe and sustainable blood supply into the future, we must build a strong foundation of young, repeat donors who start donating now and continue for years to come.

To bring Make Your Mark to life, we partnered with Cape Town’s own Bushy Wopp a creative force known for his street-inspired art and visual storytelling that resonates with today’s youth. His work is energetic, and impossible to scroll past. And that’s exactly what we needed. In a world where young people are constantly bombarded with content, we had to create something that would stand out, something that wouldn’t just grab attention, but hold it.

Bushy Wopp’s striking designs are at the heart of this new look. From posters and digital content to clinic banners and giveaways, his art adds colour, personality, and attitude to everything it touches. But more importantly, it makes donating blood feel current, cool, and deeply personal, which it is. It reflects the courage and confidence it takes to be a young donor and celebrates that choice.
